As the Deputy Editor of queerbeat—a digital newsroom focused on increasing accurate public awareness about LGBTQIA+ lives in India—I commissioned, edited, and shaped deeply investigative long form narrative stories on gender, sexuality, and social justice. I shaped the newsroom’s editorial direction, worked closely with queer journalists, build the systems that keep our creative process sustainable.

I also penned a column called Bending the Binary that analysed what it means to be queer in India.

During my stint at queerbeat, I won The Rainbow Award for best Op-Ed for my essay ‘Where Do The Quiet Gays Go?’

I also work as a consultant with Journey of Objects, editing long form narrative and investigative journalism alongside commercial projects. I occasionally write the odd editorial when the whimsy catches Object and I.

I was also the first Executive Editor at Current Conservation, a magazine publishing research-based stories on ecology and climate. Between 2019 and 2021, I produced six issues and managed the full editorial process, working with scientists and writers from pitch to print.
