As the Deputy Editor of queerbeat, an independent digital newsroom that has grown into a trusted platform for rigorous reporting on LGBTQIA+ lives in India, I commissioned, edited, and shaped investigative and deeply reported long-form narratives on gender, sexuality, and social justice. As the publication scaled, I helped refine its editorial direction, mentored queer journalists, and built sustainable newsroom systems that strengthened both our reporting and our creative process.
I also wrote a recurring column, Bending the Binary, examining what it means to be queer in contemporary India.
During my time there, I received The Rainbow Award for my essay, Where Do the Quiet Gays Go?

I was hired by All Things Small—the editorial studio brought on by CRED to build it and helped launch and run PERISCOPE, CRED's in-app culture and lifestyle magazine. Started as Editorial Consultant and grew into Managing Editor within a month. I helped build and lead the editorial team, producing daily fresh content alongside writers, editors, audio engineers, video editors, and designers, and had a hand in everything from story development to design direction to conversations with the founders, artists, entrepreneurs, and cultural figures we featured.
PERISCOPE published new culture and lifestyle content every day, across formats from short-form writing, interviews, video explainers, and audio stories, including the Vantage interview series. Beyond the daily editorial, I helped build the systems and workflows that let a high-volume, mobile-first newsroom run smoothly alongside CRED's product and design teams, as part of positioning PERISCOPE as a culture-forward editorial layer inside a fintech platform: proof that editorial can function as a genuine business asset.

Between 2019 and 2021, I produced six issues, overseeing the full editorial arc from pitch to print and working closely with scientists, researchers, and writers to transform complex scholarship into rigorous, accessible storytelling
